Laser assisted in Situ Keratolimeusis, or LASIK is an OPD procedure used to treat refractive diseases like short sightedness, far sightedness and astigmatism.
The doctor uses a micro surgical instrument and a laser to reshape the cornea (the clear covering of the eye) to improve the eye focusings light rays onto the retina so that you can see clearly.
Laser decreases your dependence on glasses and contact lenses, or in most cases, allows you to discard them entirely. |

What is a Wavefront Guided Customised LASIK ? (Customablation) |
|
| |
Aberration-Smart LASIK or Wavefront- Assisted Customized Lasik minimizes the alteration in the natural shape of the cornea, thereby eliminating Night Vision difficulties after the conventional Lasik.
Wavefront guided customized Lasik customizes the treatment for individual eyes with a minimum change in the natural shape of the cornea and for some patients it improves the vision to better than normal vision. |

The ideal candidate for LASIK procedure is above 18 years of age, not pregnant or nursing, and free of any eye diseases. You should not have had a change in your eye prescription in the last year and should have a refractive error within the range of correction for Lasik. |
