Hi
My name is Lisa, Managing Director and creator of The Right Surgeon company. As you can see from the pictures above, I have had several surgical procedures. These have taken place over the last four years. You can decide what you think of the transformation.
As I previously mentioned, I had frequently travelled to Goa India as it is an amazing holiday destination and my children and I enjoyed many a happy tropical, palm fringed beach holiday there.
I had dreamt of moving there for some years and eventually that opportunity arose. I had separated from the children’s father some years previously and had totally let myself go...I was in fashion hell. There were virtually no shops that could fit me with a bra: I was so outsized that nothing fitted comfortably, let alone attractively. When I went shopping for clothes, I would leave empty handed and very upset as nothing would fit or looked right... There was just no way to hide the multitude of embarrassing bulges. I had yo-yo dieted for 10 yrs but would always let it slip and then put on even more weight. This of course led me to binge eat, as I felt defeated. Four years ago, I was a size 18 – 22. Now, I am a size 8 – 10.
Some years ago, my mother had pointed out a double page report in the Daily Mail about how one of their reporters had sought out a hospital in India. I read it eagerly as it went on to describe what a wonderful five star experience he had had there. The reporter described the medical expertise and equipment as being second to none. I had just received a financial windfall and needed little encouragement to head for India for five months to further consider my move there. I also wanted to find a surgeon for the terrible overhang stomach I had acquired: for it to be removed once and for all. Great idea and opportunity.... Except.... How do you choose The Right Surgeon ?
In all honesty, I went for several consultations and really did not have any idea who I should trust and my five month trip was quickly coming to an end. Each surgeon I met would say the same or worry me a little more than the last : saying that ‘they had my best interests at heart and not my cash in mind’. Even though I really did not know who to trust, I decided that if I did not do it at that point in my life and at the incredibly reduced price compared to the UK, then I never would.
For this reason I came up with the idea for my company and since that time, many surgeons and doctors have contacted me to be vetted in order to join the exclusive list of surgeons registered with The Right Surgeon. MANY did not make the grade : professionalism and ethics being big contributing factors in their being rejected as suitable.
Next year will be my fifth year working in Goa and, over those years, I have had the pleasure of meeting some FANTASTIC surgeons and doctors and in creating contracts with excellently equipped and staffed hospitals. I can now offer people like me who are looking for the very best medical care India has to offer, a chance to do so at a price that is a huge saving on that paid in the UK |
