All-ceramic dental veneers

The excellent strength of Nobel Biocare dental veneers helps prevent breakage.
It is very common for a person to have a chipped tooth; it happens most frequently when we bite into something harder than the enamel on our teeth. Not only can a chipped tooth possibly affect our appearance, left untreated a chipped tooth can lead to future problems with the underlying root. One excellent fix for a chipped tooth is a dental veneer.

A Nobel Biocare all-ceramic dental veneer not only gives you the whiter teeth you’ve always wanted, an all-ceramic dental veneer can correct a number of other issues, like a crooked, cracked, chipped or short teeth.

  • A dental veneer is a thin, all-ceramic shell, custom-made to fit over your discoloured or chipped tooth. Nobel Biocare dental veneers have brilliant luminous properties and look just like your natural teeth. The first step to getting a dental veneer is an examination of your current situation with your dentist. After deciding a dental veneer is the right for your situation, your dentist will proceed with preparing your tooth.
  • Your dentist will prepare your tooth for a dental veneer by reshaping it to make room for the veneer. Normally, no anaesthesia is necessary because the tooth re-contouring is minor.
  • Your dentist will then take an impression of this area in your mouth. In case you didn’t know, a dental impression is a “negative” copy of your mouth made using an elastic material; into the impression, plaster or dental stone is placed in order to make an accurate copy of the mouth (or model).
  • After the model is made, your dentist will send it to a state-of-the-art production facility, where your custom-fit, all-ceramic dental veneer will be produced.   In a very short time, your dentist will receive your individual, all-ceramic dental veneer. Your dentist will then check that the dental veneer fits perfectly.  When you’re satisfied with the result, your dentist will bond the dental veneer onto the prepared tooth.
